With the Nacle slowing down to almost a complete grinding halt around the Holidays, there is nothing like throwing out a bone to our favorite dog Contention. Here, Contention, here, boy! Come get it!

And, so Geoff B, rakes up the M* muck, or should I say "protoplasmic ooze", for some more Evolution/Intelligent Design arguments. Its the typical nonsense, but in the comments is one beauty from NDBF Gary, who speculates all science textbooks will have to be rewritten after the Second Coming because then everyone will realize there was no death before the Fall. That, or none of them will have to be rewritten because the whole NDBF thing will be shown to be a bunch of speculative hogwash fomented by tradition, and little else.

Mr. Stegosaurus says, "No, no, NDBF Gary is right!"

So Snarkey dumps on Gary but thinks the world of BKP who spouts the same nonsense?

Um, antiprude, how did you come to the conclusion that "Snarkey...thinks the world of BKP"? Because he won his round in the Deathmatch? That was dictated by random Nacle participants, and we didn't even vote in it. As for him personally, never even met him, and he isn't on the Nacle, so he is just an innocent bystander as far as we are concerned.

As for Gary, we are confident he is a really great guy whom we would all want to give a big hug, so we don't dump on him personally. His position just lends itself to snarking on slow days.

So what is your problem, antiprude?

I have dinner w/ Steve EM's family about once a week, and we had a laugh about the comments you deleted, even after Steve sanitized them. Steve is a riot in person and does a great BKP impersonation that morphs into Liberace.

But back to BKP, he drives people from the church in droves and you say he's just an innocent bystander?

antiprude, glad to see you aren't an axe grinder or anything like that.

As for BKP, his involvement with the Nacle is nil. That is why I said "he isn't on the Nacle, so he is just an innocent bystander". Anyone not on the Nacle is an "innocent bystander".

Have I spelled that out nice and plain and simple for you, dinner buddy of Steve EM?

Sounds to me like the two of you have an...interesting...relationship there. If he is playing Liberace, are you playing his brother George? Do you two get out the sequened gowns and play dress up?

As for Steve EM's idea of "santized", that would qualify as flushable for anyone who isn't a drunken sailor on shore leave.

Steve and I work at the same place and he introduced me to the church. He runs R&D and I'm in Sales. I'm divorced w/o kids and do like to hang w/ Steve EM's family. He even tried to fix me up w/ his grown daughter, but she's too young for me.

Regarding his deleted comments, aren't you being overly prudish? I seem to remember they weren't that bad even before the sanitized version, certainly nothing you wouldn't see or hear on TV/radio.

Response to Jodi Stoddard said... @ December 21, 2005 at 1:33 PM

If Steve EM is your model for a member of the LDS Church, you need to hang with some other Mormons.

By the standards of Howard Stern and Frat Boy Late Night TV, Steve EM's comments weren't all that bad. But, I am not Howard Stern or a frat boy. Steve's comments were offensive because they were baseless and pointless personal attacks that repeated garbage he has already said elswhere on the Nacle. Steve has diarrhea of the mouth, and unfortunately it runs out his fingertips onto the keyboard as well.

The Nacle voted on BKP vs. Steve EM and Steve lost. End of story. You don't like it? Go start your own blog.

Just wanted to say that Mr. Stegosaurus cracked me up. Hilarious.

Kristen, the Ugliest Dog in the World did die a little while ago. Sad, but true.

Ned, in the mouths of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. Mr. T. Rex and Mr. Brontosaurus also agree with NDBF Gary, because their dead, but undecayed, bodies were transported here from other torn apart planets and then buried in successive layers of silt and mud, also transported from other planets in relatively uniform layers. Being the experts on the subject, they should know.
