John W. Redelfs, the most Iron-Roddy Iron Rodder on the Nacle is not content to feast upon the word received at General Conference. No, this Iron Rod has some words of counsel for GA's pertaining to what he would like to hear at GenConf. Methinks if someone else were griping in similar fashion, the Iron Rod would take them to task for questioning the leaders of the Church.

(So out of character it must be an April Fools...right?)

I want to hear the prophet speak on this sentence:

"I love that man better who swears a string as long as my arm and deals justice to his neighbor, than the long faced hypocrite."
-Joseph Smith

Iron rod irony indeed.

I want to hear something about ark steadying. If they can squeeze it in between quotes from JFS and McConkie about man's inability to reach the moon, the cowardice of black people in the pre-existence, the true nature of the Catholic Church, why it would be immoral to change the pattern of the temple garment, why the civil rights movement was a communist plot, why all the things that Brigham Young taught about God's progression in knowledge and the Adam God doctrine are among the ":seven deadly heresies," etc, etc.

That comment by John W. (Jay Dub) Redelfs caught my eye, too. I found it to be insulting to living prophets and dismissive of the atonement.

Are we sure he is real? His comment just seems a little too over the top.

If he is indeed a real person, I wouldn't be surprised if he is at this very moment behing the wheel of a U-Haul truck on the way to Colorado City, AZ.
