File under: Preaching to the BCchoir

J. Daniel Crawford, as well as all of the BCCers and left-wing adherants, is not a man of God...at least not my God. There is a possibility that he is devoted to some other God. I will speculate about that as we move along.

My God insists that we not pick at motes in other's eyes and find fault in others and allow hate to well up inside of us until it overflows. Clearly, JDC/HP and a the rest of them at BCC worship Moloch, because they obviously, hypocritically, gleefully spurn Christ's teachings, and read Mein Kampf, Chairman Mao's Little Red Book and the New York Times in their spare time.

And we all know, that if you aren't perfect, then you worship Moloch, if not in actual fact, then by implication. Especially if you use profanity, because that is the clincher.

That said, I am willing (deseparate, really) to be wrong. If you can convince me that JDC et al. are Christians or that JDC et al. are working for a God I believe in, I will let them off the hook. I just don’t see it right now. When I see them, I don’t see the light of Christ in their eyes, just the reflected flames of irrational hatred in their eyes, just like the fire of Moloch.

That was actually sharp and clean satire.

Not to mention, I enjoyed the post you linked to as well. Seems like the Snark is the only place I can read "around the Bloggernacle" posts anymore. ...

Classic snark. Very sharp and dead on.

Good job.

It is always funny to see poseurs moralise from the grandstands.

Yeah, could you believe the part where he knocks Bob Jones U for bigotry? Granted, there's a big problem there, but given our sad history on the subject, you'd have thought he'd pick a different stone to throw.

I'm no fan of W, but I don't get his haters. Likewise, the Clinton haters perplexed me.

J. Daniel Crawford is brilliant. I do not expect you to understand.

J. Daniel Crawford is brilliant. So brilliant in fact that he is able to take the unassailible position that he will not vote for Bush in the upcoming election

Memo to JDC - You can't vote for someone who isn't running for office. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

The scary question, arJ, is what if he doesn't? Who will we hate? It's kind of hard to hate Rudy, but I suppose we can try.

A "poseur"? That is a ridiculous attack against JDC. He's not posing as anything -- he's just expressing an opinion you disagree with. Sort of like DKL's ad hominem "pseudo intellectual" attack in that thread. What evidence does DKL have that JDC is not a real intellectual? It is mostly a matter of DKL disagreeing with his opinion and essentially blurting "you're a stupid-head!"

Look, I am totally agnostic about the subject matter (meaning I don't give a rip about "W" or politics in general) but I do have strong feelings about lame and baseless ad hominem attacks against people I like (and I like JDC).

(BTW - This is in response to the comments, not this post. I think the post is a solid snark.)

Anon from 2:39:

That thread is overflowing like a backed up toilet with people who think they are better than everybody else. Look at comment 143 - "I cant believe a Mormon would support Bush." Who the hell does this person think she is? JDC might be a fine fellow, but he opened the door to a bunch of phonies who can't figure out whether they would twist someone's arm to save their own lives.

No one in that thread respects the sacred rites of chupacabra.

I am appalled.

Shizzle, when are you and Dazzle gonna do another snarkcast? Your loyal fans await.

The next Snark Cast will be posted when the spirits move us.

Hey, there are no spirits in IBC.

Anonymous said... @ September 12, 2006 at 6:31 PM

Well, considering JDCs post was nothing but a long ad hominem attack, DKL's response was totally in the spirit of things.
