Inspired by the brilliant and insightful exposition of the manly men at Blogger of Jared, a brave and bold new blog has sprung forth from the ground to provide an outlet for all manly Mormon men to opine their manly concerns. (click the link only if you are a man, or man-enough).

This month's topic will be seasonally timed: Weedwhackers:Gas or Electric?

Next month: Is artillery sufficiently phallic in design?

Now I understand the hierarchy of SnarkerNacle. Snarkimus Prime=SP (stake president). The others are all subsidiaries, and seem feminized (DazzleSnark, of DS, is not quite RS, but something like DaughterS).
SP, I am not a male, yet I felt manly enough to look at the new blog, and am now feeling an unpredictable surge of testosterone.
Did you know that you didn't originate the term "masculinist"? I'm not sure who else uses it, but John S. Harris coined it years ago in reaction to feminism, and a quick google search reveals that the term is widely used now. John chose Henry V and the "band of brothers" as his heroes.

But to that important question about whether artillary is phallic enough, I would say that only missiles are phallic enough. Bullets are phallic, but quite small. I say missiles or nothing.

eric's post is indistinguishable from spam

I guess Eric has not yet realized that the entire Bloggernacle, with the exception of FMH, ZD and POF is entirely male-dominated. Including his own group blog, BOJ. Duh. Why, Eric, do you need a Man Blog when the entire Bloggernacle, with a handful of exceptions, is all about men?

That's brilliant and insightful spam. But spam nontheless. The post was not meant to be taken seriously as I tried to point out. I was simply trying to be amusing. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.

anonymous2:

I have noticed the bloggernacle is mostly men. We have tried to encourage women who seemed like a good fit to hoin BofJ. We have had guest posts from several women and have three currently on the staff.

I am not really sure that the content of most blogs is male, or talks about male issues. Especially as a stated purpose of the blog. If the names were removed you might not be able to tell if the posts on most blogs were written by a particular gender.

When you say the bloggernacle is male dominated, do you think that it is dominated by male content? Or that most contributors simply happen to be male?

If you think it is dominated by male content then I admit that I do not 'get it'.
