So let me get this straight.

Richard Dutcher's films are poignant, provocative, and inspired.

Kieth Merrill's films are badly-scripted, sentimentally manipulative and schmaltzy.

*sigh* And I had such high hopes that Christmas Jars the Movie would be edgy and progressive.

No, no, no. I didn't say Merril's films were schmaltzy. How could I use a foreign word to describe a movie from the director of _American Cowboy_ (which I believe is probably a really good film)? I said "faith promoting" with sarcastic emphasis oozing from the quote marks.
Get it right, people!
